Hi everyone!

My mom moved into a newly renovated small house 11 years ago.
She had to take over the 3-month-old kitchen (3,973€ list price) for 3,200€.
Now she has been given notice for personal use...
How much can she still sell the kitchen for, and is the previous owner even required to take it?

My mom definitely does not want to keep the kitchen! (It was all pretty low quality, I think it was from a Spanish manufacturer)

Thanks in advance

This is how I see it. The condominium was sold, and the new owner is terminating the tenant due to personal use. That’s always a risk, and the tenants’ association can really make things difficult for you. Well, it worked out—the tenant moved out but left a kitchen behind. Okay, I’ll sign an agreement confirming that I am willing to dispose of it, since I managed to avoid issues with the tenants’ association.

So the 9-month notice period is being respected.

The small house was previously occupied by the owner, who now wants to move back in. She would probably like to have the kitchen again, but my mom would rather give it away than sell it to her at a low price!

Well, that is just childish.

If she wants it, she should make an offer.

Exactly, I just wanted to know in advance how much depreciation a kitchen like this would have!

True, but my mom has been very harassed by the owner over the past few years.

A fitted kitchen is typically depreciated over 7 years. After that, it has no residual value, and you can be glad if the next tenant or buyer takes it over, so you don't have to dispose of it yourself.
