For various reasons, we need to insulate the ceiling from below since the attic space is difficult to access.

No matter who you ask, you always get very different answers.

In this forum, there is often mention of professional advice.

Who exactly should I contact? What qualifications define a specialist?

Try searching Google for "building expert and independent" – this will show you several options, allowing you to find a professional close to your location.

Usually, this is someone who has been sworn in by a chamber of crafts, or possibly admitted as an expert witness in court. Alternatively, it could be an independent expert – you should be able to verify their credentials through the relevant architects’ association for your area.

Note: the term "expert" is not legally protected — with 17 years of professional experience, I also have expertise, so always ask to see references; documentation alone isn’t proof. 😉
