Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

For sitting without hitting your shins on the table legs, there is nothing(!) better than a very plain table with the classic four legs. With the right spacing, all chairs—whether at the ends or sides—always fit between the legs and nothing ever gets in the way.

In the table shown in the photo, the middle seat on one of the long sides has the table leg right in front of it.

But it is a nice table, that’s true.

I may have explained myself unclearly. I’m only talking about the end of the table. You can’t fit two chairs there if there are table legs (unless the table is 1.4 m (55 inches) wide!). We often needed this setup when smaller children were present and would jump up right after finishing their meal. This way, we could often avoid adding a second table, and all the adults still had their seats. Is that clear?

Oh, I see.
Yes, that could be the case.
But with a width of 1.15m (3.8 feet), only one chair will fit anyway.

@bortel the table is great[emoji847]. Where did you get it from?

Our screed will be poured tomorrow. I'm really excited [emoji854]

My friend (who runs a carpentry workshop) built this for us, and the frame was made by the local metalworker.

Dear friends of homebuilding,

The water supply and sewage pipes, as well as the electrical work, are nearly finished – here is a picture from our kitchen.

Shell room with red plumbing pipes on the floor and two windows overlooking the garden.

At the same time, the preparatory work for the interior plaster has started.

We are excited!

Best regards
