since I don’t (yet) have the questionnaire, here’s just my initial thought.
Why is the pantry accessible from the kitchen only through three doors? It’s also quite generously sized. Is that really necessary?
A walk-in closet without windows can work if the lighting is planned accordingly. It’s not my preference, but I understand wanting a windowless closet in a bungalow.
Will the children’s rooms still work with wider beds? Beds 1.40 meters (55 inches) or wider are more common once they get older.
Do you have a mechanical ventilation system for the living areas? I find a utility room (is laundry done there?) without windows problematic.

Where is north?
I find the children’s rooms right at the entrance area less than ideal. Depending on where north is, I would plan the pantry connected to the kitchen; then reduce the pantry size a bit and enlarge the kitchen.
For the children’s area, I would look for a somewhat more enclosed solution. Right now, everyone passes through there, and when they leave the room, they end up in the mudroom.
The utility room has no natural light and instead has access to the garage… hmm, as has often been said here, I can appreciate a door from the garage to the utility room, but not at any cost. Usually, that only works well if you have enough square meters available. Here, I would try to find a different solution.
Overall, this wouldn’t be my floor plan (starting with the kitchen being separated from the living area, and with the available square meters, having two dining areas would cost too much space for me).

Install a door unit in the hallway between the guest bathroom and the children’s room wall to create a small vestibule for removing shoes, keeping the area behind it clean. Place the kitchen where the current utility room and pantry are, removing the partition between them to create a genuinely large open-plan kitchen and living area. Consider a solution for the garage to allow natural light in. Put the technical equipment in the current kitchen space, and possibly also the washing machine and dryer there. Skip the storage area by the garage and instead build a staircase in the large hallway leading down to the basement, which you can then use as a cellar.
That’s my two cents. K.

Walk-in closet separated from the bedroom due to very different wake-up times. Parents’ area separated from children’s area.
House design
Who designed it:
- Do-it-Yourself
What do you particularly like? Why? The division between parents and children
What do you not like? Why? Wall thicknesses still need adjustment, hallway too wide, room layout is sometimes inconvenient
Price estimate from architect/planner: none
Personal budget for the house, including equipment: lots of own work possible, max. 250,000 € for the house
Preferred heating system: heat pump, underfloor heating, trench collector
If you have to give up something, which details/extensions
-can you live without:
-can you not live without: two bathrooms
Why did the design end up as it is now?
Self-designed and developed through several variants.
What is the most important/basic question about the floor plan in 130 characters?
What optimization potential do you see here?
The living room faces south-southwest.
The entrance faces north-northeast.
