Hello everyone, the weather is gradually warming up and we want to sow the lawn soon.
Now I’m wondering, can I sow the grass seed directly on the topsoil, or should I mix in some top dressing soil?
Can you recommend good grass seed?
It should be a standard sports and play lawn.

So, just before Easter, we sowed our lawn. The weather here is currently ideal.
We simply spread the grass seed directly on the topsoil without any fertilizer or additives. Now we’ll see what comes of it.
The following grass seed was recommended to me: Saatzucht Barowick, specifically their sports and play lawn.
It is a bit more expensive but is supposed to withstand the wear from small children.

Regarding the soil... It depends! You could also apply a starter fertilizer. The most important thing later on is regular mowing!

I have a question about how to fill in "furrows."
Should I use regular potting soil, or is there something else I should use?
