Hello everyone,
Can anyone recommend a construction company in Upper Bavaria that builds turnkey houses using brick construction and with whom they were completely satisfied? I have already done a lot of research and spoken with other homeowners, but unfortunately, I haven’t found anyone who was fully happy. Experiences ranged from mediocre to disastrous.
Additionally, we would like to build with a focus on healthy living, but it seems there are hardly any companies that offer this nowadays.
Thank you very much for any tips.
Good luck, unser_schloss

It’s not just about the bricks; all other building materials also need to be healthy for living. That’s clear. But why focus specifically on bricks? Other types of masonry are also suitable for healthy construction, aren’t they?

No, as I said, no custom planning. Fair enough, respect.

For us, the construction process actually felt like we were the real clients: [...] Overall, really a pleasant building phase with trusting cooperation... The company also gives me a solid impression, locally rooted and maintaining its reputation through good work.
What materials do they use? The website doesn’t say anything; you actually have to request that information.

I would definitely look for a very local supplier. You always have direct access to them if something comes up. Even the best bricklayer from NRW won’t be of much use to you in Bavaria.
That’s why, contrary to 11ant, I would narrow it down even further than just “Upper Bavaria” and really focus on your local Gäu area.
Especially smaller craft businesses tend to be more open if the homeowner wants something special.
From there, it’s up to you to find out which building materials you want to use besides bricks.

No, as you know, not really contrary to me. Because when it comes to solid construction companies, I also tend to favor businesses that stand behind their name within their service area. But here there seems to be a restriction specifically to brickwork. Since I advise against trying to "re-educate" a builder (and the best regional contractor could be a calcium silicate block mason), I can only recommend the "Plan B" option here. Because red brick masons do exist with prefabricated elements, but then they have a larger service area. However, my main advice was to also consider other building materials, since brick is by no means the only healthy living material (and is only popularly believed to be number one). This could completely change the selection of local providers.

Clean, respect. Thank you. We are very satisfied as well. We especially appreciated that the house was handed over completely ready to move in (including the garage, paving work, terrace, and rough landscaping of the garden), even though that naturally comes at a cost...

But it probably depends on the masonry contractor hired, and in Bavaria, at least 80% are brick constructions (this is my personal impression...).

But it certainly depends on the specific masonry company hired, I get the impression your builder does the masonry work himself (?)https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/
