I registered on MyHammer and posted a job request for a stair railing, including photos and all. It was a recommendation from friends who said that compared to directly contacting companies X and Y, they received significantly cheaper offers here and the workmanship was very good.

Maybe I expected too much, but the job listing has had many views so far, yet no responses. Perhaps there are users here who post jobs there more often. Have you really received many offers or sometimes none at all?

One thing is clear: craftsmen who need MyHammer are either starting a business (these are not the inexpensive ones) or just want to make the most of their free time. I decided to assemble my beloved’s xxxxxxxxl Pax wardrobe myself and have to say that I have really grown through the experience.

MyHammer is certainly not acting illegally. MyHammer serves as an online platform connecting clients with tradespeople. It does not provide the services itself. The company cannot be blamed for having poor tradespeople listed on the platform. How could they know if the person promising to assemble your kitchen is actually capable of doing so?

I clearly see the mistake on your part as the one who was taken in. Ikea probably offered you their own assembly service, which, although not perfect, at least assembles things correctly. That service was likely too expensive for you, and now you’ve realized through MyHammer that cheap and good rarely go hand in hand. Karsten

I don’t see it that way; MyHammer isn’t to blame at all.

@nottynotty wanted to advise you to leave a review for MyHammer on Trustpilot, but I see you have already done so. However, I would have been more objective in your review! Otherwise, your rating will very likely be removed.

Is your post serious? Of course it is criminal for a platform provider to display reviews differently from how they were originally submitted. If a tradesperson has 125 top ratings and only very few negative ones, people assume they are good, especially if they specialize exclusively in kitchens all day.

I clearly see the fault with you, who fell for it. Thank you for your support! There are still good people out there!

However, I’m not exactly sure what is supposed to be unobjective about my comment. I do have the right to call the company criminal if that is the case. But you might be right; the reviews on Trustpilot don’t seem very reliable to me either…

If you talk on the phone with MyHammer the same way you do here, I would have hung up too.
