Hello,

how did you approach lighting design and when exactly did you plan/implement it?
I still have the option to install Halox P housings with transformer tunnel (€60) for LED recessed spots. I’m not really convinced by spots (focused light + high costs), but what alternatives are there?

@R.Hotzenplotz I think @ypg is trying to point out that your planner does not include floor lamps, shelf lighting, or other accessories in the design, whereas from their perspective, these elements are essential parts of a lighting plan.

I was wondering the same thing.
And for just ambient lighting, a desk lamp and the floor lamp you have by the sofa for reading should be enough.
Of course, no one is saying it wouldn’t work with that. But I doubt that everything you want to achieve can be done just with floor or shelf lamps. So why should a lighting designer artificially limit themselves here? I don’t understand the problem at all.

Here are some examples of cozy lighting without using the requested floor or shelf lamps:

Bright study with L-shaped wooden desk, white cabinets, chair, laptop, and monitor.

Bright bedroom with bed, gray throw, slippers on the carpet, warm lighting.

Modern bathroom with dark tiles, wooden shelf, white rectangular sink, and wall-mounted toilet.

And this shows how differently people perceive it. Especially the first two examples, I do not associate with cozy lighting.

Both do not include floor lamps in their plans. They say you don’t need them. We don’t have any shelves, so there are no shelf lights either.

We wrote about the Occhio Sento.

I wonder if the much cheaper Deltalight Vision LED would do just as well. It comes in matte white, which I also prefer.

The fact that the Sento can be tilted, controlled by gestures, etc.; I don’t need any of that.

No worries, I already mentioned earlier that coziness is a very subjective feeling. [emoji4] But now I’m curious, what do you find cozy? [emoji6]
