Hello everyone!
We are considering buying a wooden holiday home. The size should be roughly between 40 and 60 m² (430 and 645 sq ft) of living space.

You can easily find options like this online, and prices for homes matching our expectations range from about 10,000 to 20,000 euros. When looking at various sellers, you often come across the same manufacturers. I believe I’m not allowed to name them here due to advertising restrictions. But as mentioned, finding manufacturers or providers is not difficult.

Now my question: Is a wooden house in this price range any good? Of course, it depends on maintenance and the equipment. I think the log wall thickness should be at least 70 mm (3 inches), and instead of roofing felt, I would prefer using roof tiles. But what else should I pay attention to?

I would really appreciate any advice based on experience or knowledge here.

Thank you very much!

Why? Suitable as a summer house in a small garden. As a weekend retreat, even for New Year's Eve? No.

The plot must be suitable for this.
The concrete slab will be done externally, as well as the earthworks and utility connections.
