Hello everyone,

I have a question.
Are the windows/doors on our roof terrace installed correctly?
They were initially fully installed but were later pulled out like this.
It looks very makeshift to me.
No, only plaster will be applied afterwards, no additional insulation.

The brown substance is waterproof slurry, which we started applying today as a precaution because during the last rain moisture came straight through.

Detailed design -> working drawings. You actually don’t have any working drawings? That sounds unusual...

Ah. We do have construction drawings. But something like that is not included there. In the end, those were just the architect’s plans plus the structural engineering plans. Nothing more.

I don’t understand. Did he or someone else remove them?
Installation doesn’t mean just placing with an air gap. They have to be fixed somehow...
The window installer was instructed by the construction company (the general contractor for the shell construction/roof/windows) to remove them again and bring them to their current condition.
How they are fixed... no idea.

Who is responsible for site supervision on your project? The architect, you, or a building inspector?

An appointed site manager who just shrugs and doesn’t give us any answer to that question.
That’s why I’m asking here.
