Hello everyone,

I’m not building a house, but since I couldn’t find a better forum, I hope you can still help me.

Here’s the situation in the kitchen:
- I replaced the sink and the trap
- Since then, the water drains very slowly (a full basin takes 2-3 hours to empty)
- If water is poured directly into the wall drain, it drains normally
- If the trap is not connected to the wall but drains into a bucket, the water also drains normally
- Before the renovation, everything worked perfectly

What am I overlooking?

Thank you very much for your help!

Under the sink: trap, drainpipe, pipe connections, and water lines.

This is Lillviken from Ikea. Unfortunately, they have their own system, so no standard trap from a hardware store would fit. So, you either have to replace the sink and trap or find a suitable solution.

Could the 90° elbow possibly be inserted too far into the wall or drain?

Or is your wastewater pipe not vented?

New idea what the cause might be, but unfortunately no.

I can’t judge that as a layperson, but previously the predecessor model of LILLVIKEN was installed without additional venting, and with that, the water always drained without any problems.

Thanks very much for your efforts in any case.

Maybe someone has ideas that you wouldn’t think of yourself.
