Hello everyone,
We are currently in the middle of planning our single-family house and are focusing on the topic of the gutter system.
We are working with an architect who has created a very nice design based on our specifications.
However, this design includes a gutter construction that is unusual for us. We couldn’t find much information about it online. Therefore, we would like to ask for help from the forum—perhaps someone here has experience with this type of gutter setup and can share any advantages or disadvantages.
Thank you very much in advance!

Layman's opinion:
Pros:
- Appearance (if you like that look)
Cons:
- More expensive
- If it leaks, water runs down the wall
- A second weak point is just below the gutter itself, where water can run into the wall if there is a leak
- No drip edge with snow/ice, again water runs down the wall...
=> None of these are major issues, so it’s doable.

I would not describe this as a variation of a gutter construction, but rather as a system combining roof and gutter—so not a gutter variant applicable to arbitrary roof structures.

- In case of a leak, the water would run down the wall. That doesn’t seem likely to me. The parapet projects in front of the facade and resembles a drip edge similar to that of an exterior windowsill.

Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you for your feedback.
We are still quite early in the process, so there are no detailed plans yet.
The attached images were taken from the internet to illustrate the basic concept we are dealing with.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide more information at the moment.
