Hello,
we are considering installing wood-look tiles in our house (which is quite modern and open). I think these tiles, when well made, look really nice. I am just a bit skeptical whether I will still like them in a few years. Does anyone know a good manufacturer of wood-look tiles?

Does anyone know Novabell and can comment on the quality? Their tiles are quite affordable for such large formats. On the positive side, I noticed they have a nice surface texture and are quite strong. Unfortunately, I’m not sure how often the pattern repeats. From example photos online, you can hardly spot any repetitions.

We were advised to use calibrated tiles, even though they are more expensive. This allows for very narrow grout lines, which creates an effect closer to real wood planks or parquet flooring.

Quality features include attributes such as through-bodied (important), rectified (for narrow grout joints), slip resistance, and wear rating.

Example: see screenshot. The price for this tile with these features is 49€

We have Marazzi Treverkhome tiles. They look really great and have a genuine grain and wood texture – not just a printed photo.
Our tiler sold them to us for 35€ net, which is approximately the same as the online price.

I came across Novabell today because of your post. I like the "Oak" series, but it’s still quite new. There’s not much information online, but at least there’s a catalog in PDF format. It says each tile is unique, so there are no repeats in the pattern.

Marazzi comes up quite quickly when searching for wood-look tiles. We have seen some samples in person and like them a lot. Could you maybe share a photo of them laid out so we can see how they look installed?

Could you please take a large-area photo for me? @Lumpi_LE
We are also looking for the exact tile in 20x120cm (8x48 inches), but I can only find it for nearly 49€. Feel free to contact me via private message if you like.

EDIT: Great minds think alike @Alex85
