Hello everyone,
we are about to buy this apartment. However, we are wondering if it might be too dark because the terrace will be partially covered. There will be a balcony above our terrace.
What do you think based on your experience?
By the way, the terrace faces south.

Floor plan of a residential building with kitchen, living area, terrace, bedroom, bathroom, hallway, entrance.

Right side of the plan or bottom of the plan?

stupid question: when you buy, that’s already there. if you stand there, you should be able to tell if it’s too dark – especially at this time of year...

That would be nice, yes. But so far, it is only planned and not yet built.

On the east side, meaning the right side of the plan, is there no window at all in the living area?

It will probably be darker due to the adjacent apartment on the west side.

I myself have an apartment with an east/south open-plan living area (dining/kitchen/living). On my east side, the terrace is covered with a depth of 360 cm (142 inches). This is pleasant in summer, and in winter the sun is low enough that sunlight even comes through my east-facing terrace door.

It would also be important to know what is located to the south and at what distance. Additionally, which floor is the apartment on? And how tall is the building or structure to the south?
