Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Dear friends of homebuilding,

following up on my post #1121 from October 5th, there are new pictures.

In the early morning fog, the excavator arrived; by the bright sunshine, the topsoil layer was almost completely removed and stored on the side just in time for the end of the workday. Tomorrow, we will go deeper. We are excited.

Best regards

Axel

@Eldea Is this a solid construction or a prefabricated house? I'm not very familiar with this.

The basement is a prefabricated basement (waterproof concrete shell). From the ground floor upwards, it is then built with solid construction.

Ah, the basement is finished and you just place something on it? Then the walls will be built brick by brick, right? Why isn’t the basement also built brick by brick? Wouldn't that be better, or why are there these two different methods if I may ask?

@Eldea that is not a waterproofing membrane! Where are the metal flashing strips between the foundation slab and the walls?
