Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Because we routed the entire duct through a KG2000 pipe beneath the foundation slab into the technical room.
At that time, the installation planning for the "technical center" was not yet finalized.

Now the cables were made rather too long, instead of later facing the problem of cables being too short.

I know it’s not ideal, but better safe than sorry in this case.

@matte1987 Where did you have your bus system designed?

At my home, working on the PC

I created the floor plan and room schedule myself, including the list of required actuators. Based on this information, the electrician ran the wiring. He handles the wiring in the control cabinet, while I provide the KNX components as well as the programming.

This is a feasible approach, although it took me quite a long time to get familiar with everything.

But it’s worth it: the more automated the house is, the better you feel when you understand how everything works.

Speaking of electricity.... my wife brought lamps from Denmark....mmm. I need to check them out.... well, you don’t find something like this in every hardware store. But somehow, it has its charm. Karsten
Pendant lamp made of wooden slats, spherical around the light bulb; next to it a floor lamp and a chair.
