We are planning a bungalow.
Our builder has offered 1500 € for installing a relatively good satellite dish on the roof.
What do you think of this offer? If I do it myself, what would the cost be?
What is your suggestion?
Best regards

That's exactly right, which is why I'm asking you all here [emoji6]. Who can you actually trust!? Grym mentioned trust, so that's why I pointed it out.
From my perspective, you are already doing the right thing. Asking questions where you’re unsure, listening to different viewpoints, and then forming your own opinion [emoji1303]
I installed the system myself in my previous apartment (on the balcony and wall-mounted), so nothing complicated. This time, the installation on a hipped roof (bungalow) is a bit more challenging. If I have the opportunity, I will mount it on the wall. I might also do the roof installation myself, and if I hire someone, it shouldn’t be as expensive as with the building contractor.

Offer from our electrician:
Satellite dish 90cm (35 inches), accessories, multimeter, 8-user LNB including wiring for 6 connections to living/bedrooms for 950€ netSounds realistic.
To summarize, what is generally required to make the system work?
- Satellite dish
- Quad LNB
- Mast
- Roof tile with cable entry
- Rafter bracket
- If no unheated attic: penetration through the insulation/waterproofing layer
- Multiswitch for 8 users
- Electrical connection for multiswitch
- CU 10mm² (16 AWG) single-core cable for connection to the equipotential bonding
- Wiring with satellite cables to 6 rooms
- 6 single satellite wall outlets (flush-mounted)
- Alignment and tuning of the system
