Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

So, the kitchen is finally finished. Everything works, the residual current device (RCD) no longer trips, the drawers close smoothly, and so do the doors. For anyone wondering which planner came up with the idea of placing the sink and electrical outlets right behind it... that was the plumbing crew, careless guys who didn’t quite follow the plans. Actually, both the plumber and the electrician had IKEA’s kitchen layout to position the connections and drains correctly. The electrician got it right, but the plumber installed the water and wastewater connections too far to the left. So we had to rearrange and swap the dishwasher and sink during installation. That’s how it is now. No way we’re opening the wall again. We’re living with it, and as a small consolation, the plumber gave us a little something to make up for it.
Modern white kitchen with sink, wooden countertop, oven, microwave, glass fronts.

Modern kitchen: induction cooktop, white cabinets, wooden countertop; abstract blue-tone artwork behind the stove.

Karsten,
Is your right double socket outlet tilted?

This is how it is. Opening up the wall, no. We live with it, and the plumber made up for it a little.
Well, at some point you want to be finished – but in my opinion, it’s still a detail that you end up annoyed with forever.

I'm just not that kind of person. Honestly, I couldn't care less about this by now.
Thankfully, my wife doesn't care either. We get along quite well in that regard.

I don't see any crooked outlet at all.
To me, it would be too tight around the sink; I would have planned it further to the right.

Best regards,

@Curly
If you had read carefully, you would have seen that it was planned differently, as Karsten described a few posts earlier....
