For our new single-family home construction, we are considering outsourcing the entire plumbing service from the general contractor and managing the bathrooms ourselves. In this regard, we would like to gather information on which plumbing partners are suitable in the greater Cologne area. There are many "specialists" in this field. Finding a good balance between price and performance is important to us.
Perhaps someone has had a positive experience with a company.
Since a suitable company may not necessarily have a bathroom showroom, it would also be helpful to know where we can visit a large exhibition to get ideas.
What we are looking for is a high-quality bathroom setup, without it necessarily having to be the latest designer sink from the newest collection (and the corresponding additional costs).
Initially, we considered ordering plumbing fixtures from an online retailer like R..... and then just hiring someone for the installation; however, the general contractor said this could be risky, as who would be liable if the externally purchased toilet breaks during installation…

Wherever you go, the house brand of Sanitäre Sanibel is always worth a look. Nice, reasonably priced but not cheap items. Often combined with fittings from Ideal. Their taps are also reliable. That sounds good.
We are not the type of people to just go in and say we want this and that, but rather we want to plan and design a bathroom together with a professional based on the floor plan. On the Reuter site, it was shown that this is possible for a fee. I think with companies like Elmer this is also possible—only that you get a better warranty package there.
I’ll keep Sanibel in mind then.

On the house photos page, you can see some Sanibel items with Ideal faucets from me. Fully installed for 1100,-. Quality products. KarstenWhere can this be found, Karsten?

I liked the Villeroy & Boch products the most.
However, I’m wondering why 95% of toilets are so small. It’s almost impossible to find one with a bowl longer than 35cm (14 inches). Personally, that’s too short for me if I don’t want to constantly keep my private parts from touching the rim. Apart from Duravit, which offers a few larger models, there doesn’t seem to be much choice. And I’m definitely not overweight. Who would have thought that choosing a toilet would be so complicated?

It probably has more to do with other anatomical features than the ones you were thinking of. Hilarious!!
