Hello everyone!
We are currently finalizing our choice of external blinds. Yesterday, we visited our external blinds specialist again, and now we’re not so sure if the selection (currently proposed by our architect) is the right one.
As of now, Warema products with Z-shaped slats are planned to be installed. However, after looking at the samples again yesterday, we have to say that we don’t really like the appearance. The “simple” edge-rolled slats somehow look more attractive to us.
Our main goal is to have sun protection, and when needed, privacy from outside. Darkening—which according to Warema is the main purpose of the Z-shaped slats—is not our top priority.
What did you choose and why? Does anyone have photos of an interior room with Z-shaped slats or with the edge-rolled slats installed?
So many questions!
We would appreciate any tips!
Best regards,
Wickie

Hello,
we are currently facing the same problem.
Is Warema Roma the better choice?
We are actually considering S-louvers or the new CDL ones, although I don’t find them visually appealing in the pictures, they are technically state-of-the-art and apparently more wind-resistant.
What do you think?
Best regards

So, after the weekend (during which we had another detailed discussion ), the decision is about 80% finalized, so to speak:
Z-lamella blinds in the bedroom (we never have it completely dark anyway, so that’s plenty for us), and 80S blinds on the other windows. Since the bedroom window is on a wall with a large sliding door (which will also get an external venetian blind), and its shape and length are quite unusual anyway, having two different types of slats on one wall doesn’t bother us much.
I just happened to find a colleague who also installed Warema blinds. I’ll take a look there sometime this week.
We’re still not entirely sure about the control system... but maybe the colleague can help with that as well!
Thanks already for your suggestions.

Is Warema Roma preferable? That’s also my question, since our general contractor works with Roma. I haven’t yet obtained detailed product specifications.
I can’t comment on that, as our architect always uses Warema products.
We have now finalized our decision as well. We will install the 80S slats everywhere. We were able to take another look at them at some friends’ place, and we like them much better than the Z-shaped slats – they just look overall a bit more “friendly”!
