ᐅ Recommendations for architects, contractors, or building consultants in Ingolstadt?

OliverKHello dear forum,
We are a family of four planning to build a single-family house in Ingolstadt at the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018. We already have a plot of land. We are still at the very beginning and are currently looking for
a) the best building partner for us. This could be an architect, a local construction company, or a prefabricated house provider (both solid construction and timber construction are possible). It is important to us that they handle everything, from planning together with us through construction to the turnkey handover including painting, tiling, and so on.
b) an independent expert who can advise us on everything, from choosing the construction company, reviewing contracts, specifications of construction work, supervising the construction, to inspections and handovers.
Do you have any recommendations for the Ingolstadt region or at least Upper Bavaria/Bavaria? The range of options is huge and, as is well known, the success of the project depends largely on the people involved. Above all, I believe a very good independent expert is an important guarantee for a successful, stress-free build.
Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards,
Oliver

A good, reliable construction company seems more important to me than a good building inspector. Of course, a competent inspector is happy if you choose a poor construction company, because then he has plenty of work and can send you many invoices….

Of course, a good expert is happy when you choose a bad construction company, Why would they be? Experts don’t get paid by the line. They much prefer to just issue a brief list of defects with their stamp.

We moved into our newly built solid single-family home last weekend.
We worked with the company L.Wasztl Hausbau from Karlskron. They are the general contractor (GC) coordinating all the companies and trades (all local and some have been working with Wasztl for decades).
We started the basement at the end of September 2016. By November, the shell including roof and windows was completed and allowed to dry over the winter as planned. Electrical and plumbing rough-ins were done in January/February, and the screed was poured at the end of March.
We were very satisfied; communication with the GC as well as directly with all involved companies was excellent at all times.
The shell construction was done by Glöckl from Karlskron. Also, friends of ours (private contract) worked with Glöckl on the shell construction in spring.
Minor defects on site were immediately and informally discussed and promptly resolved. There were really only 3-4 small issues.
The construction period was very relaxed for us (with 2 children), of course also very exciting and thrilling, and it was fun to see the daily progress. We felt a strong sense of trust from the first meeting until now.
So, we can truly recommend them.
During the offer phase, we also considered KMH, JuraHolzhaus, and the architect Simone Buchner (Neuburg), but in the end, only Jura and Wasztl remained in the running.
If you have any questions, are interested in a viewing, or want a list of tradespeople, feel free to send me a private message.
Best regards

Hi Dan,
Great, thanks a lot for your helpful response! I’m glad everything went well for you. Wasztl was already on my list – it’s really good to have a positive review.
I have a few more questions if you don’t mind:
Could you possibly share 1–2 pictures of your house?
How do you feel about the sound insulation? Impact sound and airborne sound transmission?
What about the indoor climate? Any issues with dry or humid air? Do you have an automatic ventilation system? Any kind of home automation?
And did you have an independent expert or construction consultant involved who visited the site regularly and attended inspections, or did you manage everything yourselves?
