KnulliHi everyone,
I’m planning a new kitchen and trying to save a few thousand compared to Nolte & Co. with IKEA (about €7,000 vs. €11,000).
Some issues have come up.
Problem 1:
Due to the total height, I want to use only 220cm (87 inches) tall cabinets.
For the fridge, I want a combination with three freezer compartments (about 70 liters (2.5 cubic feet)) at the bottom and the rest (about 190 liters (6.7 cubic feet)) at the top. Above the 1.80m (5 ft 11 in) niche for the fridge (bottom door 80cm (31.5 inches), top 100cm (39 inches)) I want to use the remaining 40 cm (16 inches) to install an LED TV. So I cannot place the 178cm (70 inches) fridge on a pedestal.
The problem is, I haven’t found any fridge-freezer combos that come close to an 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinet height for the freezer section. They are all around 70cm (28 inches) at the bottom and about 100cm (39 inches) or more at the top.
Does anyone know a manufacturer that makes fridge-freezer combos with 80cm (31.5 inches) tall bottom doors? A+++ energy rating preferred.
Problem 2:
IKEA does not offer an end panel for the 80cm (31.5 inches) wall cabinets. Does anyone know a solution that matches the Bodbyn style?
Problem 3:
With an 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinet height, an 8cm (3 inches) Förbättra decorative toe kick, and a 4cm (1.5 inches) countertop, I only get a countertop height of 92cm (36 inches). But my wife wants 96cm (38 inches). Does anyone have an idea how to increase the 8cm (3 inches) decorative toe kick to 10–12cm (4–5 inches)?

Problem 1: Plan with an 80cm (31.5 inches) wide door at the bottom and install an appropriate pedestal, additional base, or similar under the refrigerator.
Problem 2: Do you mean an 80cm (31.5 inches) high end shelf? Check if it is necessary and possibly stack two 40cm (15.7 inches) high shelves on top of each other.
Problem 3: Buy feet of the appropriate height from hardware suppliers and cut the plinth to size from the tall cabinet side panels from Ikea.

I would also use a side panel and cut it to size, or if you have the Blankett handles, use a baseboard with aluminum trim. It then has the exact metallic shine like the handles.

The Ikea standard feet can be adjusted in height. But not by 4 cm (1.6 inches) more.
However, one thing you definitely need to pay attention to is the dishwasher. A 92 cm (36 inches) niche height and a 12 cm (4.7 inches) plinth don’t work well together. You’ll need a small pedestal for the dishwasher, and the dishwasher must also be suitable for an 80 cm (31.5 inches) wide front panel.
