Hello everyone, next to our carport there is a strip running up to the fence that is covered with bark mulch. We would now like to choose a new surface here that is easier to walk on. The attached picture shows the situation: the paving stones of the carport are concreted at the edges for support, then comes the bark mulch, and under the fence there is a row of paving stones.
What would be the best option here? Our initial idea is to use gravel and to embed concrete slabs under the fence – to balance the slope towards the neighboring property and serve as a border. What do you think?
By the way, we will also soon have to lay a gravel bed around a part of the house. Maybe there are some synergies here?
Thanks and best regards
Ashley
