Hello, today I had to wait for an hour and only had my notebook with me... so I just doodled a bit.
This is my very first draft of the ground floor, and it probably still has quite a few mistakes.
What I’m curious about is whether there are any major errors here (for example, the staircase?).
North is at the bottom right.
One square represents half a meter (0.5 m / 20 inches).

What do you think makes it especially good or poor?
Staircase placement is not yet ideal, pantry is difficult to position.

MIA_SAN_MIA__31 May 2017 13:13Hello everyone,
Here are some new drafts from me:
I actually quite like the attic layout. On the ground floor, the bathroom feels too large to me, but I’m not sure how to make it smaller since the staircase limits the space.
The small storage room in the office is intended for the vacuum cleaner, mop, cleaning supplies, and so on. I would prefer not to keep those items with the food.
Upstairs faces southwest.

MIA_SAN_MIA__31 May 2017 13:29The pantry doesn’t work. You lose some space due to the plaster on the 83 cm (32.7 inches). Once you put in a shelf, you won’t be able to fit inside anymore. You basically have just enough storage space that would also fit in a kitchen cabinet.
The storage room is similarly small to the pantry. You might want to consider a large standalone cabinet here as well.
Do you really want to convert the office into a bedroom? In that case, there would be no shower.
Upstairs, I don’t like the doors to the bedroom and walk-in closet. I might consider removing one.
Try drawing in all your existing and desired furniture. Some areas just seem a bit small and cramped to me, but I could be mistaken.

I don’t like the pantry. Instead, build it into the 370mm (15 inches) wall and create an opening at the front with a ventilation block in front of it. That way, the potatoes won’t spoil as quickly. As it is now, the pantry is so confined that it’s only suitable for canned beans and ravioli. Karsten
Considering a basement, I find a pantry somewhat unnecessary, especially with those dimensions. For the most common items, it’s really better to plan a practical cupboard. Then you can have storage space for a vacuum cleaner, brooms, etc., in a suitable small storage room.
The staircase layout also seems a bit tight to me, especially right next to the entrance.
It is also useful to place a north arrow on the drawing or to sketch the floor plan on the intended plot, or to rotate the floor plan so that north is at the top.
The living area should be facing west, right? Then the entrance would now be on the north side?
