Hello, we are currently considering where to install the heating manifold on the upper floor. Our concern is that the control valves may cause noise, so the manifold should not be built into a wall directly adjacent to, for example, the bedroom or children's rooms. What are your experiences with this?

In our house, the distribution panel is located behind the bedroom door.
We don’t hear anything.

Hmm, I never really thought about that before O_o
So I'm also curious if they make any noise.

We placed the distribution box on the ground floor directly between two bedrooms.
The only logical alternative would be to see which other rooms you have on the upper floor.
In our case, that would be the bathroom and the hallway, and there is only one wall that doesn’t touch a bedroom.

I hope those units don’t produce any noise, because rearranging would be quite difficult for us.

Hello

No noise is generated.

All the circuits for the floor start from the manifold. So, in front of the manifold, you may have an area where the pipes are very densely packed. That’s why the room where the manifold is located will definitely be a bit warm. For me, someone who likes to sleep with the window open even in winter, having the manifold in the bedroom would be a no-go, but it would be well suited in the bathroom.

I also think it fits well on the upper floor, either in the bathroom or the utility/storage room.

In our case, it is on the ground floor in the cloakroom: the jackets dry quickly, but it gets a bit complicated when I need to proof my yeast dough there – then the shoes have to be moved.

Best regards in short
