Hello, we have recently completed a major renovation in our house and are now looking for a suitable flooring option for our floor with underfloor heating. After gathering a lot of information, we are interested in the Duralan Plus Rio Canela flooring from the company ZIRO.

Has anyone had experience with this type of flooring regarding surface sensitivity, scratches, and pressure marks? Is it really as durable as we were told in the store?

It would be great if you could share your experiences with us.

We are currently in a similar situation.
I can only share my knowledge based on many forum posts, blogs, and conversations with sellers.

We quickly considered either hardwood or laminate flooring because of the wood look.
With laminate and hardwood, you need to make sure that they are "suitable for underfloor heating."
Then vinyl came into the picture, which can look similar to laminate but is supposed to feel softer under bare feet and, due to its material properties, is much better suited for underfloor heating. However, it is priced similarly to hardwood.

Tiles are still considered the best material for underfloor heating.
After seeing tiles that look like wood (I couldn’t tell them apart at first glance and had to look closely) we decided to go with tiles that have the appearance of wood flooring.
These are now available in almost every home improvement store. The price is around 40€/m² (about $45/m²), although in stores they are often listed at about 50€/m² (around $56/m²), but all sellers offered a “bulk discount.”

In the end, it comes down to personal taste. If "technical" aspects regarding underfloor heating are important, then tiles are the gold standard; otherwise, vinyl, hardwood, or laminate are options, in that order.

Does anyone here also have carpet in a current house with underfloor heating and a low supply temperature?

We have parquet flooring combined with underfloor heating. It is two-layer parquet, approved for use with underfloor heating, and everything works without any issues (supply temperature 30°C (86°F)).

Tiles, even though they look increasingly like wood and are hard to distinguish visually, remain a disaster in terms of feel. Despite the underfloor heating, they feel noticeably colder and less comfortable. They are perfect for hallways and bathrooms, but for living areas... never ever. I’d rather accept a slight efficiency loss with the heating system.
