ᐅ Where should the terrace or living rooms be located if the street is on the west side?

Hello.
I have tried to accurately draw the surroundings of our plot to scale because we are having a hard time deciding where we would like to place the terrace and our living spaces.
The plot has a street with a 30 km/h (about 20 mph) speed limit zone on the west side. This is a street in a new development area that will consist of 40 single-family homes, so all the corresponding cars will be passing by our property. Our car parking spaces must also be located in the northwest.
I have often read that the terrace is preferably oriented to the west if you enjoy the sun. We do. However, for us, west would mean having the terrace facing the street side. We are somewhat unsure about the noise from the cars. It is hard to assess that with a 30 km/h (about 20 mph) zone.
There is also a maximum 80 cm (about 31 inches) high fence allowed, so people would be able to see directly onto our plates if the terrace faced west. The same would apply if we placed the dining room on the west side. And ideally, we would not want to be watched so much in the living room either...
I know the perfect solution (sun from morning until evening plus total privacy) does not exist...
Still, we would be interested in where you would place the garden terrace if you were in our position and which rooms you would locate on the west side of the house.
Looking forward to your ideas and suggestions.

No. We have already considered the upper floors. We don’t really need a utility room, just a space for the heating system. One floor above, we want to do the laundry, possibly in a larger bathroom or in a separate storage room, since the parents’ bedroom and two children’s rooms will be on that level.
The storage room on the top floor will hold items sensitive to moisture. More durable items will go in the garage. The vacuum cleaner will probably find a place in the lower heating room. These are our initial thoughts.

Where do you dry laundry that shouldn't go in the dryer?
Where do you keep your decorative items? If you think you don’t need a utility room, you must be the first and only family that doesn’t require any storage space.
Your children don’t need sports gear and change of shoes either...

Are you only uncomfortable with the room layouts? Is it because of the bathroom, heating, or the built-in sloped ceilings? The kitchen can still be arranged differently. I quickly made the sketch without moving the kitchen, since I wasn’t sure about the 45-degree angle. That’s what you meant with the 45 degrees, right, or did I misunderstand?

Regards, Yvonne Thanks for your input. Washing will take place on the upper floor, most likely in what you might call a utility room or storage room. We plan to make it about 8 m² (86 sq ft). Basically, it’s only important to us to have washing facilities on the upper floor. If possible, we would prefer to avoid an additional separate room. That’s why we want to combine washing and storage in one space.
Alternatively, washing could be done in the larger upstairs bathroom, and the storage room would be about 7 m² (75 sq ft). Either of these options should work quite well, right? Our dryer handles most drying, except for a few special items. If we ever need a small drying rack, we would temporarily set it up in the bathroom or storage room, depending on which setup we choose. We really don’t have a lot of laundry to dry.

and you probably used about 30° instead (which is not a problem and might actually fit better here).
