Hello everyone,
As we are currently looking into buying a kitchen, we are interested in the fairness of the asking prices. Our experience so far has been that price reductions of 25-50% off the initial prices have sometimes been offered.
To get a better idea of what constitutes a reasonable price for a kitchen, rather than focusing on "how much of a discount can I negotiate," I would like to see a list of your kitchen purchases:
Manufacturer:
Kitchen studio:
Initial price:
Final price:
I hope this discussion will help readers by sharing real experiences, leading to a fair interaction at the kitchen showroom, without either party feeling like they have been taken advantage of.
Best regards,
Sascha aus H

Don’t make it difficult for yourself and go to Küchen Aktuell in Buchholz, Mr. Lindemann.
Set a limit beforehand!
Regards, Yvonne We are currently at Küchen Aktuell too – but in Rahlstedt. Same as at Möbel Kraft in Buchholz – so we can compare.
We are just unsure about the prices because you hear so many different things, and honestly, I don’t have a good sense of what a fair price would be.
And of course, we do have a limit.
Ignore the supposed promotions and discounts entirely and focus only on the final price. A kitchen priced at €20,000 (approximately $22,000) with a claimed 77% discount is not a better deal than one priced at €18,000 (approximately $20,000) with a 20% discount. The final price is the only thing that matters.
I agree with you @77.willo. But what final price is realistic? How can I find that out in advance?
The amount you are willing to pay. Plan the kitchen at IKEA and then see which materials and features from other brands are worth the extra cost.
Other than IKEA, I haven’t compared prices. I got a quote from a kitchen showroom, thought it over overnight, and then accepted it. But I don’t lie awake at night wondering if I might have paid too much. [emoji3]
