Good evening everyone,
we received an offer from our general contractor for the flooring in the bedrooms, and they proposed Meister design flooring 300 Spalteiche!
I would like to understand what exactly design flooring is?
The manufacturer's information is not very clear! It is basically vinyl but on an HDF (high-density fiberboard) core!

Does this flooring have anything to do with oak besides the appearance?

Master design flooring is a marketing term and refers to: quote (allegedly) “authentic-looking wood reproductions.” In reality, it is an embossed photographic surface on a special waste substructure.

I was just thinking about the many homeowners who paid a lot of money for "hazardous waste" with a large well-known provider from the Düsseldorf area!!!

A simple explanation from a professional would definitely not satisfy me.

Are you speaking from personal experience?

Have you had the material tested?

Thank you!

Hello "VelBau"

Is your assumption that many customers of a "well-known supplier" have spent a lot of money on this product really proof that it is not hazardous waste?
I am not satisfied with such a simple explanation as a counterargument to my observation.
Have you had the material tested?

Thank you and regards.

PS. You may keep your unnecessary exclamation marks.

Dear Treppauf,
I am certainly not a fan of vinyl, but what you are saying is absolute nonsense... or have you had it tested and can support your hazardous waste hypothesis?

I would be careful with such claims, as they might come back like a boomerang.
