I once _planned_ a multi-storey building... with an innovative idea, featuring a modular floor plan designed to accommodate seniors, singles, and families alike.
I’m still waiting for a developer to buy my idea for a lot of money. 🙂

This is probably more of a project for an investor or a housing development company. At that age, most people likely face financing difficulties when it comes to a single-family home 🙂

I assume this is an investment project with the intention to make a profit. What really helps (in my opinion, an essential requirement) is expertise: Either you are an architect, builder, or tradesperson with relevant experience, knowledge, and contacts, or you are a knowledgeable, proactive tax advisor. Ideally, you have the missing expertise close at hand in a cost-effective way (a friend, shared office, etc.).

According to the current SPIEGEL (7/2017), only investments in upscale housing are still worthwhile—have a look...

That sounds interesting. Senior inclusion is a hot topic in building design (and social concept) fields, but unfortunately it is still mostly just a vision for now.
