Hello everyone,
I would like to share the current status of the renovation planning for my two bathrooms and would greatly appreciate any improvements, ideas, or feedback.
It was important to us to design the bathrooms so that they feel warm and cozy.
The larger bathroom (yellow fixtures) is on the upper floor and will only be used by us (man, woman, and a 2-year-old child). The smaller bathroom (red fixtures) is on the ground floor and will also serve as a guest bathroom/guest toilet… so, enough talking, here are some photos and the planning images.
We have family members who are heating engineers, plumbers, bricklayers, and electricians, so we can plan somewhat more creatively without exceeding our budget.

Spot on... that was the '90s... I don’t have a photo at hand right now, but I can top that.
Family bathroom: fixtures were black/purple/mint... a real ’90s dream.
Shower bathroom: entirely mint-colored.
Honestly, whoever came up with this had no taste.

So no criticism and/or suggestions for improvement? I think given the size and the connections and drains, it makes sense this way.
However, the first two pictures of the family bathroom are confusing—they seem to show something different.

miniflexalex13 Feb 2017 09:25.... black/purple/mint.... OK, I give up [emoji5]️
The bird’s-eye view image shows the shower enclosure up to the bathtub.... That was an earlier version which I discarded.... My latest plan is the smaller shower enclosure with the gap to the bathtub.... I think that makes the most sense.

🙂 A friend of mine says, leave that stuff in, it will become fashionable again at some point 🙂I would say the same, it doesn't look that bad at all...

Peanuts7413 Feb 2017 12:07Ok, they may not win any design awards, but if mainly the fixtures and fittings are the issue, I would (in this case, if the rest is fine and neutral) just replace the "small details" rather than renovating both bathrooms completely.
However, this is obviously a matter of personal taste and also depends on whether you have better plans for the money ;-)
That said, if you do decide to renovate completely, I would install something like a Raindance (or similar) showerhead upstairs instead of a standard showerhead.

However, if you do want a full renovation, I would, for example, install a Raindance (or similar) showerhead upstairs instead of a regular “standard” showerhead. My wife is considering one of those Raindance showerheads... It’s crazy how expensive they can be... 1500 euros is far from the top price... And that’s just for a showerhead...
