Hello everyone,
we are currently choosing front doors... Which material would you recommend for front doors? Aluminum is said to cause condensation and to conduct cold very well in winter, with wood I have some concerns that it might eventually weather, and plastic... I’m not sure, it doesn’t seem very appealing... What front doors do you have? And are you satisfied?
Best regards, Katha28

If you want to apply this consistently on both sides, it means that for glass panels, the spacing of the panes must be precisely adjusted to the profile thickness.

I configured a door with side panels through Obst and requested a quote.
Approximately 5000€ including VAT and installation.
That is 1500€ more than our budget.
The panel is made of aluminum.
Since this door is "off-the-shelf" and not a custom/made-to-measure model, I actually expected it to be significantly cheaper than the custom-made one for around 6000€, based on our desired photo.

These prices for a door like the one in the photo are by no means the highest in this range; in this league of individuality, there are no longer any bargain hunters.
By the way, "off-the-shelf" does not mean "stock size" for anything that is not plain and white (certainly not at a bestseller unit price); rather, it means that this design has been fully calculated for standard dimensions and the price can be given immediately "out of the drawer."
