I am interested in buying a house in Hungary, which shows the cracks documented in the photos – for better visibility, each respective link can also be clicked.
Here are some key details I have learned about the house:
- Approximately 60 years old (built around the mid-1950s)
- The roof was replaced about 10 years ago (around 2006), including rafters and tiles
- In the Google Street View from July 2014, the cracks are already visible – without significant change in the last two and a half years
Inside the rooms, there are also cracks everywhere, mostly parallel to the ceiling, but also some larger cracks near doors, which I believe were more diagonal. There are also many cracks in the ceilings. Unfortunately, I was not able to take any photos of the interior walls and ceilings.
Do these cracks look like they could affect the structural stability?
I would be very grateful if someone could provide expert advice regarding these cracks.

Unfortunately, I don’t have anyone with expertise in this area – and a professional expert (architect, structural engineer, etc.) is probably quite expensive. Is there anything that can be interpreted from the photos, or what should I pay attention to during the next site visit?
