ᐅ Connection for timer switch

Hello,

After countless attempts, I now need the help of an electrician or someone knowledgeable with the following problem:

My outdoor lighting (4 spotlights) is supposed to be controlled by a timer switch. I can’t get it connected properly—either the lights stay on continuously or don’t turn on at all.

The wires I have available are:

Live conductor (black), conductor (brown)
Neutral conductor (blue), all three connected together with a terminal.

The timer switch has connections for live and neutral (so black and blue), and below that, three more connections.

So far, I have tried everything. The lights either stay on permanently or don’t light up at all. My last attempt actually worked in that the lights could be switched, but now the timer is running incorrectly. The timer counts the minutes as if they were seconds.
My connection was as follows: live and three blues connected at the top, black and brown in two different boxes below.

Does anyone have advice for me?

According to the datasheet, the cables from the fuse box need to be connected with the black wire to L and the blue wire to N. Additionally, a jumper should be placed from L to terminal 2, if the spotlights are for 230V. The two cables leading to the spotlights should be connected to terminals 1 and N.

I am also an amateur and offer this advice at my own risk! However, I agree with world-e since he was faster and described the same thing I wanted to write.

Thank you! This description helps me understand and I will give it a try.
