Our pellet heating system in the KfW 70 multi-family house (new build with 6 units) shows a floor heating supply temperature of 38°C (100°F) in the boiler room.
In my opinion, the pellet consumption is quite high.
Over 1 ton of pellets was used in October (which was not very cold).
Therefore, my question is whether a supply temperature of 38°C (100°F) is too high for this new building (the construction is dry!).

Knallkörper31 Oct 2016 14:34The temperature in the supply line doesn’t provide much information unless the flow rate is also given. Perhaps 34°C (93°F) is fine for the pellet stove. It’s not a heat pump, which can operate more efficiently at lower temperatures.

I will test this.
The heating in the apartment is not running yet!
I have read the supply temperature in the boiler room.
I will turn the room thermostat all the way up and measure or read the room temperature, the floor temperature, and the supply temperature in my distribution cabinet.
I will also check the position of the float in the glass tube.
At the moment, all tubes are fully filled, and the marker (red float) is at the very top.
I will report back.
