Hello everyone,
I’m currently thinking about options for privacy protection on our bathroom window.
Clear glass would be my preference because it suits the uniform façade design, but my partner finds curtains impractical in the bathroom. He leans towards frosted glass.
Now I’ve come across frosted window film, which can be applied afterward. The advantage is that I could install it only once I’m in the finished house and realize that privacy is really an issue. It could also be applied only to the lower part of the pane.
My concern is whether the film might eventually peel off due to moisture from steam (and I like long, hot showers...).
Has anyone had experience with this? Or are there completely different ideas for privacy solutions?
Thanks in advance!

I can’t just let this stand as it is....I said: for _me_ personally, I’m not a fan of it...
With blinds, at least you can tilt the slats to adjust the angle so you can still see through even when the window is "covered."
I’m not sure about the quality of pleated blinds being used. I imagine that the wider the window and the track, the more likely it is that they can become misaligned.
Regards
In our old house, we also used plastic sheeting from a hardware store, which held up without any issues for 6 years and was left in place by the next tenant.
Applying it was straightforward (you just have to be careful not to trap any air bubbles), and the sheeting can be easily removed later if you no longer like the design or want to be able to see through it again.
For our own home, however, we decided on a pleated blind so that we can look outside when needed! We chose a high-quality pleated blind from the window specialist, which was screwed in rather than clamped or glued. It was more expensive, but for our own house, I didn’t want to skimp here and preferred something durable and sturdy.
