Hello,

We are planning to install a flush-mounted radio in our bathroom. Does anyone have experience with the radios from Busch & Jäger or Gira? Are there any other brands that are recommended?

Does anyone have a recommendation for 2 ceiling speakers?

I would have suggested that too!
For example, the Play 1 costs just under 200€ (about $220), sounds better than the cheap radio from the socket, can be expanded into a multiroom system, works perfectly via an app with internet radio (no static!!!) or Spotify, and is even suitable for damp rooms like bathrooms.

To each their own. Since 2011, we have had Sonos S5 ZonePlayers throughout the house with a Bridge and other components. In my personal opinion, it’s the worst thing ever, and we will ceremoniously burn it in the garden when we move out. The controller seems to update about four times a month, each time the playlists disappear, and if different iPads, iMacs, and iPhones access it alternately, there is a complete crash and everything is lost again. I have been in regular contact with Sonos support since 2011, and personally, I would never buy it again.

I cannot confirm that.
We use two phones and two iPads to access the Sonos system, and I don’t recall any crashes. I have no issues with updates; they actually bring improvements. The menu navigation is simple, the playlists are clear, and the music playback is stable.

I bought my Sonos components in 2015. Maybe the older models were more prone to issues.
My opinion of Sonos is definitely very positive, and even my wife, who is not a tech fan, is enthusiastic.

We have been using the Busch-Jaeger flush-mounted radio in the bathroom for a year now, integrated into the SI switch range.
Since we only listen to the radio anyway (no MP3s or internet stations), this solution is perfectly sufficient for us, and I enjoy the great built-in radio every morning.
What I especially like is that the annoying cables are finally gone, leaving a neat and tidy appearance.

Of course, you can install a more expensive device with more features, but since you don’t spend hours in the bathroom and you’re probably not having parties there, this works perfectly.

Hello,

the last post is a few days old, but I don’t think that matters...

We installed a Berker Touch UP radio in both the bathroom and the kitchen.

The sound quality for the bathroom and kitchen is absolutely sufficient, despite the small speaker.

We also appreciate the fact that nothing is left standing around to collect dust and no additional cable clutter is created.

Best regards,

Dirk

We have arranged this in the relevant rooms with switched outlets.
The switch is located right by the door.
The outlet is hidden behind drywall, where later some radio will be placed.

Hello,

Is it sufficient to connect one Visaton ceiling speaker, or is it better to use two?
