Since we are now gradually starting the construction phase, we would also like to finalize the bathroom design soon. We have already rotated the bathtub and toilet in all directions and are struggling to make further progress. Do you have any suggestions for improving the bathroom?

The bathtub could possibly be replaced with a Duravit Paiova 5. To the left of the washbasin, we currently planned a kind of mirror (mosaic).

Floor plan of a bathroom: bathtub on the left, toilet top right, washbasin on the right, door at the bottom.

What kind of structure is at the top of the plan there?

The white strip is supposed to be a service wall. However, it can be designed in many different ways.

Then you probably have a sloped roof?

No, it’s a bungalow.

With this room layout, I always go for the classic arrangement:
At 4.40 meters (14 ft 5 in), you can fit both a bathtub and a walk-in shower, with a partition wall aligning them. At the door is the wall, then the shower entrance, and the bathtub in the back left. Opposite the door is the window.
Along the right wall: the toilet at the back, and the washbasin at the front.
The bathroom furniture will help keep the toilet out of direct sight.
There is enough space for furniture, but I wonder what else you want to fit in if a base cabinet and two tall cabinets are not enough?

At the moment, we have one tall cabinet, one base cabinet, and one wall cabinet. These store items like toothbrushes, personal care products, cosmetics, toilet paper, medications, jewelry, hairdryer, straightener, razor, and so on. Currently, this is clearly not enough space for us. We might also want to store some additional towels. However, we do not want the mirror or the washbasin unit to be completely framed by tall cabinets.

With the bathroom furniture, the toilet won’t be very noticeable.

Does this mean that changing the layout is actually unnecessary or would not improve the situation?
