I’m hoping for some help from the community.

Since we now have a child and 22°C (72°F) is definitely too cold for bathing, we will be installing an additional heater.

Back then, we had a cable installed from the cheaper electricity meter, which is dedicated to the heat pump, into the bathroom.

I’m looking for something like this

The problem with this heater is that it comes from Italy, and if there are any issues, the warranty may be difficult to handle.

I only found something similar from the company Fern

The problem there is that the towel rails have to be drilled separately into the wall.

So, I’m looking for a frameless glass infrared heater including a towel rail.

I plan to control it via Somfy or a wireless switch.

Thank you very much.

Hello @tomtom79,

unfortunately, I can’t really help you with this.

But to better understand your question, I have a follow-up:

You mentioned that the towel rack from the company Fern needs to be drilled into the wall. Is this different for the Italian product? It also appears to be designed for wall mounting.

In addition, a quick Google search using the terms "infrared heater glass frameless with towel warmer" brought up a result from "Heiz Dich Wohl" that resembles your Italian heater. I will send you the link by private message.

With the Italian supplier, the holder is mounted on the glass!

For the high beam, in addition to the heater, holes also need to be drilled into the tiles.

I’ll check based on your tip and hope it doesn’t exceed the budget of around 500 euros.

If I understand the technology correctly, the device doesn’t heat the air in your bathroom, but only the people who receive the radiation. So, I don’t think it will help you unless you hold it right in front of the mirror.

For the few months when 22°C (72°F) isn’t enough, I would simply place a portable electric heater in the bathroom...

It is around 450 euros there.
I found more results using Google search. However, I can’t confirm how the mounting is done in those cases.

That’s also my concern! I don’t know anyone who has installed one.

I mostly see them installed on shows like "Home Happiness," but always on the ceiling.

Since we only want to use it as additional heating during bath time, I hope it will have a sufficient effect. Especially since the position fits our setup, and the person bathing will be directly exposed to the radiation.

Currently, we have an infrared heater above the changing table.

I’m also happy to hear any experience reports.
