Hello

We want to plant a roughly 45-meter (150-foot) long area with plants that provide privacy screening. We are considering Thuja Smaragd. They should be relatively low-maintenance and offer good privacy.

Do you have any other suggestions?

I could still offer blackberry

I was against it – I don’t like it. It has always seemed too thorny to me (there are probably varieties now without thorns) and in the past it was often infested with worms as well.

We have blackberries, but not as a hedge
Without worms and without thorns I am currently processing the harvest into jelly – a nice relaxation ritual

I do not want to voluntarily plant that junk stuff in my garden.

Of course, it’s important to become familiar with the different varieties. This also includes raspberries, for which there are new cultivars that have gained many advantages.

I just meant wild blackberry – I haven’t really gotten to know it better, only the wood chipper has.
