Hello,

we are currently thinking about how to tile our bathrooms.
The photos show our small bathroom / guest bathroom on the ground floor.
The photos are mainly to give an idea of the layout, arrangement, and size.
This helps to visualize it well.
The color and distribution of the tiles in the photos are not accurate.
This is also my question – how would you tile the bathroom, which areas would you tile, which not, or would you tile it completely?
We are a bit undecided about how to divide the tilework.
We are quite clear about the color, though. We want very light gray concrete-look tiles, combined with dark gray wooden furniture – similar to the third photo – only the tiles should be lighter.

I’m curious about your ideas on which sections you would tile.

Best regards

We have floor-to-ceiling height simply for easier cleaning!

For this, 75x25cm (30x10 inches) profiles are used and installed without offset!

But honestly, once the plastered wall is painted, what is there to clean?
It wouldn’t be for me, especially in such a small room.

To me, that’s a bit too much gray (and I love gray and industrial style), but too much is too much.
I would suggest tiling up to the height of the stud wall, so about 120/130cm (47/51 inches) across the width of the toilet and washbasin, or even a bit higher, around 140/150cm (55/59 inches).
However, give the cabinet a warm wood tone and echo that in the shower tiles. Paint the other two walls a neutral warm white.

Whoa! Tiles need to be washed with soap now and then. Painted plaster does not. So, good luck with the stretching.

According to your statement, dirt also accumulates on tiles, so dirt will also accumulate on a plastered wall. So it might be better to clean the tiles rather than repaint.

Are those Villeroy & Boch tiles in the third picture?

Thank you, I still have problems with s, ß, and ss. The German language is a difficult language.
