Hello,

a quick question: Were the window panes delivered to you without frames and then installed into the frames on site?

I was last at the construction site Tuesday evening, and there was already a shipment of window panes (really just the triple-glazed panes, without frames!). I found that a bit surprising. As far as I know, complete windows with frames usually arrive ready to install.

Best regards,

Andreas

With us, the entire unit is delivered. However, this should not be a problem for the window installer.

Even separated... I think both are normal.

Ok, thanks, learned something new today...

Slightly surprised regards,

If the window or door frames exceed a certain weight, the frames and glass are delivered separately, as installation would otherwise require lifting equipment. A triple-glazed unit weighs approximately 30 kg/m² (6.1 lbs/ft²).

With us, delivery and installation are also separate and take place on-site (which is not a big effort, but it must be done properly).
