Hello.

I’m not entirely sure if an energy consultant is already required for KfW 55 houses?
On the KfW website it says:
Plan your new property as a KfW efficiency house. Your energy consultant will assist you with this.

But a structural engineer can also submit the KfW application...

Can someone clarify this?
Thanks.

Hello,

You need an energy consultant from the KfW list to certify the construction of a KfW55 house. We were quoted a price of 2,000–3,000 euros, with 50% of the costs subsidized by the KfW bank.

That’s quite affordable.

In our case, the cost is 4,600 euros, of which 50% is funded by KfW.

This is the verbal statement we received.

Doesn't the KfW Bank only provide funding up to 4,000€ (about 4,400 USD)?

I just checked on the KfW website: "we cover 50% of the costs, up to 4,000 euros per project."
It is not clear to me whether the maximum reimbursement is 4,000 euros or 2,000 euros.

As I understand it, 50% will be covered, up to a maximum of €4,000.
