Our currently preferred general contractor offers the Liaplan Ultra 09 as the standard exterior wall, with a wall thickness of 36.5cm (14.4 inches). Can anyone share their experience with this block? I haven’t found any reviews.

Here are the specifications of the block:

Wall thickness cm 36.5
Block type Standard block
Length cm 24.8
Height cm 24.8
Strength class HBL 2
Density class 0.50
Permissible wall compressive stress MN/m2 0.4
Thermal conductivity W/mK 0.09
U-value W/m2K 0.23
Sound insulation rating R´w-BAU (dB) 51
Thermal storage capacity kJ/m2K 182

For a small additional cost, I could get the Liaplan Ultra 08:

Wall thickness cm 36.5
Block type Standard block
Length cm 24.8
Height cm 24.8
Strength class HBL 2
Density class 0.45
Permissible wall compressive stress MN/m2 0.4
Thermal conductivity W/mK 0.08
U-value W/m2K 0.21
Sound insulation rating R´w-BAU (dB) 50
Thermal storage capacity kJ/m2K 164

Could anyone provide some input on these? It’s especially important to me that I don’t hear anything from outside once inside the house. For a significantly higher price, I could also get something completely different (e.g., sand-lime brick with external thermal insulation system).

Sorry – but anyone who thinks that with 36.5 cm (14 inches) external wall plus appropriate glazing they will still hear something from outside is also fooling themselves ....

Alright, fine.
What criteria should I use when choosing the stone? Just go with the standard option? Or is it purely about the energy performance, meaning the U-value?

Based on preference, desired efficiency rating, and seismic zone

Ok, that doesn’t make it any easier for me.
I don’t have any preferences at this point. It just needs to be practical for things like hanging pictures and so on.
Energy rating? Hmm, good question.
We don’t really have earthquakes here...

I was hoping that someone with expertise or knowledge could tell me something about the values. Is this standard, good quality, poor, or what?

If no one is familiar with this type of stone, I would appreciate it if someone could provide information about its properties. I have no idea what values other (alternative) stones have. But I will start looking into it now.
