ᐅ How to Work with a Cast-in-Place Concrete Ceiling

Hello,
In our new build, the ceilings will be cast in-situ concrete.
How should the ceilings be finished afterwards, what would be the most cost-effective and what would be the most attractive solution?
Skim coating and painting? Or suspending the ceilings? Paneling?

I quite like the process of filling, then applying a paintable wallpaper, and finally painting.

Is painting fleece something like wallpaper??

At our place, only plastering was done. Is cast-in-place concrete similar to a precast hollow-core slab?
