ᐅ What have you ordered online?

Prices on the internet are often noticeably lower than what you pay, for example, at furniture stores. However, I think some items are not really suitable for online ordering. For example, I am a bit cautious when it comes to sofas because you can't test how they feel for sitting or lying on. Other items like dining tables and matching chairs seem less critical, and lamps are hardly an issue at all. You can always make a wrong choice and then want to return the product.

Do you know any good online furniture stores that are generally customer-friendly, especially when it comes to returns, so that the process is hassle-free?

What are good brands for sofas and dining room furniture? Or how can I know if the quality of dining tables with chairs is right without having seen or touched them beforehand?

I am also interested in ordering flooring and tiles online.

I bought wall-mounted bathroom vanity cabinets online. They weren’t cheap there either, but still less expensive than all the stores in the area. However, they are also of good quality (high-quality slides, etc.). I don’t think anyone in the local stores would have had higher quality.

Does anyone here have experience with the manufacturer - massivum -?
I quite like some of their furniture series. So, purely from a visual standpoint, I could imagine buying from them.
I also really like solid wood.
But does it deliver what it promises?

For me: Unfortunately, no.
I also found some of the series visually appealing online and even made a special detour to visit one of their stores. Most of the pieces were typical shabby chic style in mediocre quality, made from rather lightweight wood. As an amateur woodworker, I definitely have high standards when buying furniture. But for me, the items were not worth the price.

Best regards,

We ordered many things online, but we negotiated furniture directly at the furniture store.

Years ago, I ordered a sofa online and was very dissatisfied. That’s why we tested our new sofa by sitting on it first.
My husband enjoys negotiating and haggling as if it’s in his nature. Solid wood furniture naturally costs more than particleboard. And at the furniture store, I can carefully inspect the products.
There is usually some room to negotiate the price. At least, that’s been our experience.

Interesting to hear. A table weighing, for example, 88 kg (194 lbs) initially sounded reasonable.
How should I understand your quality standards?
Could you tell me, for example, what your dining table cost or other pieces of furniture you have purchased?
I would like to be able to better understand your opinion.

I must have made a mistake there, but I’m currently looking at a lot of furniture.
The table weighs 88kg (194 lbs) and is also solid wood, measuring 198cm x 100cm (78 inches x 39 inches).
If you search for BUDDHA column table #130 198x100 Sheesham, you will find it.
I hope this is okay with the admins.
