Hello,

I am receiving a credit of about €5000 for the floor coverings (50 sqm (540 sq ft) tiles + 50 sqm (540 sq ft) laminate), approximately 100 sqm (1080 sq ft) in total, from my builder.

Can the €5000 credit be applied to 100 sqm (1080 sq ft) of vinyl flooring (around €30 per sqm (approximately $30 per sq ft) plus labor and moldings, etc.)?
Is the credit amount reasonable?

Thank you.

@Uwe82: Why should there be a membrane underneath beams, but not under beamless structures?

I never said that; I only mentioned that a membrane is necessary under beams, while I don’t know about beamless supports. But it’s very simple: just follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Ok, thanks Uwe
Is floor leveling (screeding and smoothing) mandatory or optional for new screed installation?

Liquid screed is often perfectly level, but this can vary.

I meant: Sometimes it can be different, for example, we had a 6mm (0.24 inch) height difference over one meter (3.28 feet) at one spot.
