During the construction startup meeting, I was informed that I am required to have someone come at least twice to inspect the building and perform a so-called “random inspection of thermal insulation.”
Otherwise, the house would not be accepted as KfW55 standard.
Consequently, the related financing would not be approved either.
Google hasn’t been very helpful.
Could someone please explain this to me?
Who carries out this inspection? What does it cost?
Are these fixed fees, similar to a fee schedule? Or is there a way to save money?
Thanks a lot!

Why didn’t your temporary building partner explain this to you, or the person who submitted the applications to the KfW?

In the past few weeks, there have been several such blunders, so by now I am really dissatisfied with my general contractor.
