Hello,
we are currently planning our single-family house with a mono-pitched roof at a 10-degree slope. The first design includes a zinc roof covering, which we are not really satisfied with.
What type of roofing have you chosen for a similar roof pitch? We are currently leaning towards flat roof tiles combined with a waterproof substructure. Which tiles would you recommend for this?
We would greatly appreciate any shared experiences.

Hi,
Two houses down from us, the neighbors have a roof pitch of 3 or 4 degrees.
They covered the entire roof with EPDM. No roof tiles at all.
I can’t provide any experience-based feedback since the house was only occupied in November.
The neighbors are somehow professionally involved with the material and swear that it is an outstanding product...
Best regards,
Thorsten

An extensive green roof with appropriate safety barriers for maintenance might also be an optionThe neighbors across from the temporary apartment (while we were building) did it that way back then. A 10-12 degree slope + greenery. Honestly, I found it very charming. I still visit there quite often because the landlord became a friend of mine. The greened house looks really nice.
I just think (never asked): the greenery wasn’t cheap. They planted hundreds of plants, and the specialists worked intensively for about three days – three people.
Best regards,
Thorsten

We have the membrane on the garage and the two flat roof extensions.
However, it is not cheap...
Damages are much easier to detect compared to bitumen membranes. In addition, it can be installed seamlessly – on all three roofs, we have a single-piece membrane.
