Hello everyone,
I am once again looking for some experience-based advice.
It’s about the transition between the hallway and the living room.
Currently, we have planned a double-leaf door. However, I have often read that usually only one leaf is used. Does it then make sense to plan the second leaf as fixed from the start? Or would a swing door be recommended so that the door can open in both directions?
A sliding door is not an option.

Hmm, what's the point if only 90cm (35 inches) can be opened? In that case, you might as well install a simple door and reduce the opening, which would save a thousand or two.
In my opinion, if it’s wide, both sides should be able to open. I wouldn’t want to miss our wide passage.
I should also mention that it has been open 99.99% of the time over the last five years.
We don’t have any issues with light switches either, since the door panels open into the hallway and not into the living room. The switch is, as usual, located directly next to the frame on the left side.

If the goal is just to save money, there are many other areas where you can cut costs. Doors priced around 50 EUR (about $55) will initially serve their basic purpose – but I assume you didn’t install those either. Also, the side panels bring more light into the hallway, and the overall look simply cannot be compared to a plain door without side panels.
Good luck

I’m attaching the ground floor plan here.
The door from the hallway to the living room is meant to be a feature, as it is visible directly from the main entrance and represents the focal point of the house.
Width: 2.01m (6 ft 7 in) rough opening
What type of door would you choose here?

Please don’t take this personally, but the highlight disqualifies itself because it is positioned at an awkward angle both to the main entrance and to the staircase.
No matter what you choose, it will always look "so-so."
Although I’m generally in favor of double doors, in your case a door like the one K1300S suggested might be a better option.
